Leandra Medeiros Cerezo is the daughter of former Brazilian football player Toninho Cerezo. She was born in Brazil and raised in Italy. Givenchy designer Ricardo Tisci spotted her in 2010, and she became the brand’s face. As her career progressed, she adopted the professional name Lea T, which is thought to stand for Tisci. In 2012, Lea went through her transition and underwent sex reassignment surgery in Thailand. She identifies as bisexual and has served as a symbol for the LGTBQ+ community through her work. She was also the first transgender woman to be chosen as the face of the American hair-care company Redken.

If you’ve seen the HBO series Euphoria, you’ve probably seen Hunter Schafer’s dashing face. Before making her acting debut, this young actress began modeling for major names such as Dior, Miu Miu, and Marc Jacobs. Euphoria is her debut job, and she plays a trans lady, which is ideal for her. Schafer is clearly just getting started in Hollywood, having helped develop her character and even co-writing one of the show’s episodes. When questioned if she’s OK with the public knowing she’s trans, she says, “I do like people to know that I’m not a cis girl because that’s not something that I am or feel like I am. I’m proud to be a trans person.”
