In fact, Aniston’s character, Rachel Green, was the inspiration for the namesake hairstyle, which became a pop culture star in its own right. Many saw Aniston as the series’ “breakout” star, and she received Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild honors for her role.
