Pop Culture References
Undoubtedly, “The Three Stooges” had a profound effect on succeeding generations. The comedy trio has been mentioned in a lot of movies, TV series, songs, and novels. A number of films, including This Is Spinal Tap, Pulp Fiction, Ice Age, and Grease, as well as songs by various musicians, including Chris Brown, Frank Black, and Toby Keith, pay homage to the Three Stooges. These allusions demonstrate the Stooges’ immense influence. They continue to appear in popular culture today.
A Band Of The Same Name
Moe, Larry, and Curly inspired the name of the legendary rock group The Stooges. It was inevitable that anything creative that guitarist Ron Asheton did in his life would reference the Three Stooges because he’d already spent probably seventeen thousand man-hours watching The Three Stooges’ films when he was supposed to be doing something else since he was twelve, according to lead singer Iggy Pop in an interview with Clash Magazine.
