Brand-Name Food
If you shop at ALDI, you’re better off buying its private label brands. “Often, ALDI has brand-name foods such as Pringles, Cheerios, and Kraft Mac & Cheese mixed with their brand-name items,” Greutman said. “These foods are usually much more expensive than they would be on sale in your local grocery store.”
Aluminum foil
Don’t be fooled by the low price of Aldi aluminum foil, Fearon advises. Aldi stores have just one aluminum foil weight, and it’s not heavy-duty, she said. “Although the price is fair, the quality of the foil is low—which means that you will end up using more foil and thus spend more money replacing the foil more often than paying extra for a slightly heavier foil style,” she said.
