At The Boundary Of Two Countries
Mount Scorluzzo is located on the boundary between Italy and Switzerland. It sits at an elevation of more than 10,000 feet above sea level and overlooks some of the highest paved routes in the Alps. A lot easier than the other peaks in the area. It has, in fact, been conquered numerous times by mountaineers.
Climbers Are Not The Only Ones
Climbers aren’t the only ones who have attempted to ascend the snow-capped peak. Prior to the First World War, the Stelvio Pass served as an important boundary. It passes through the Alps about a thousand feet below Mount Scorluzzo’s summit. On one side, the Kingdom of Italy was located, while on the other, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was located.
