David Chokachi – Then
Before Baywatch, David Chokachi had no prior public profile whatsoever. Chokachi decided to pursue a career in acting in the middle of the 1990s after completing his education at the prestigious preparatory school Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts, and the liberal arts college Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where he earned a degree in political science.
He made his debut in the public eye first as Cody Madison, the promising Olympic swimmer who was prevented from competing due to an abnormal heartbeat. He played the role of Baywatch’s male heartthrob from seasons six through nine, and he finally succeeded David Charvet as a prominent cast member.
David Chokachi – Now
Almost immediately following his departure from Baywatch in 1999, David Chokachi was cast as Jake McCartey on the television series Witchblade, which lasted for only three seasons before being canceled. Chokachi was included on the list of the “50 Most Beautiful People in the World” that was compiled by People magazine in 1997.
Over his career, Chokachi has made cameo appearances in a number of made-for-television movies, some of the most recent of which include Cyber Chase, Patient Killer, and Wrath of the Yeti. In addition, Chokakachi appeared on the reality television show Confessions of a Teen Idol in 2009 alongside Jeremy Jackson, another cast member from the Baywatch television series.
