Julian’s debut album, “Valotte,” was a critical and commercial success in 1984, garnering him two top 10 singles and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist for his efforts. Those who heard his subsequent recordings, on the other hand, were less enthusiastic. It was in 1991 when Julian made the decision to take a break from the recording industry. In 2002, he released a revised edition of “When I’m Sixty-Four” which was more than a decade after the first publication. In 2009, he launched the White Feather Foundation, a non-profit environmental and charity organization named after a piece of advise he received from his father on how to live a more environmentally friendly life. A photographic exhibition of 35 photographs, including a selection of Beatles memorabilia, was presented by Julian to commemorate his father’s birth on the 70th anniversary of his birth in 2010.
