Barbara Parkins, at the age of 16, moved to Los Angeles in the hopes of launching a career in Hollywood. Although she initially worked as a backup singer and dancer, things changed after she debuted in 20,000 Eyes. She also starred in Valley of the Dolls and received an Emmy nomination.
