After she enjoyed success with the release of Titanic, the singer went on the “Let’s Talk About Love” tour. It was going just fine when she received some bad news. Her husband had cancer. She learned about it while doing a show and sang a song as a tribute for him. It was a long battle, but Rene succumbed to the disease at the age of 73 on January 14, 2016.

Her Children’s Names Were Chosen Carefully
Before this all happened, the two of them got to welcome a set of twins on October 23, 2010. They named their twin boys Eddy and Nelson. The former was named after Eddy Marnary, the French producer who worked on her first five albums. The second one was named after Nelson Mandela.
