Celine Dion has been impersonated on a bunch of shows like Royal Canadian Air Farce, Saturday Night Live, MADtv, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and South Park. They have mimed her stage antics and strong accent in the past. Luckily, Celine is equipped with a fantastic sense of humor, so she has no problems brushing these off. She even said that she felt flattered by the attention! She once invited Ana Gasteyer, who portrayed her on SNL, to come up on stage when she was performing at a New York show. Isn’t she the coolest? Hurricane Katrina
Celine Dion does her best to keep out of politics. In 2005, however, she went on Larry King Live and expressed her thoughts on the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Tearfully, she tore down the slow response of the US government and lack of initiative to help the victims. She said, “There are people still there waiting to be rescued. To me, that is not acceptable … How can it be so easy to send planes in another country to kill everybody in a second and destroy lives. We need to serve our country.”
