Her mother sent this demo to Rene Angelil with a message that read, “This is a 12-year-old with a fantastic voice. Please listen to her. We want her to be like Ginette Reno.” He did not reply to the note right away, but this changed when Celine’s brother contacted him directly. He asked the producer to give the demo a listen. Angelil clearly liked what he heard as he invited Celine to come in and audition.
