As she got a better look, her face turned white as she tried to determine what it was. How did this come to be in this spot? Whose was it, exactly, to begin with? Was it… her grandfather’s?

The item that she had discovered upon entering was a tiny key. It was the first time she had ever seen it! She had no idea what it was or who it belonged to, nor did she know what it could open. Is it possible that her dad had it? Had he forgotten it in that spot by chance? Or, consider the possibility that he had placed it in the box on purpose, fully aware that she would find it.
