According to royal accounts, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shelled out $3 million to pay for the renovation costs of Frogmore Cottage. This served as their place of residence once they left Kensington Palace. Many members of the public were outraged to hear such a thing. This is fair since they basically paid for the lavish refurbishment with taxpayer funds.
