Many people believe that the royal family had not given them the signal before the news came out. The royals were allegedly not only surprised but also “disappointed.” However, we doubt that it came as that big of a shock. There has been a lot of evidence that suggested they were interested in a royal exit even months before it happened. For one thing, they ditched the traditional Christmas at Sandringham and spent the holidays in Vancouver Island, Canada, instead. They skipped public engagements as well.

The Queen allegedly prevented the Duchess of Sussex from accessing certain pieces from the Royal Collection. People say that she happens to be more lenient with Kate Middleton. Gavin Gray explained, “There was this row where Meghan wanted this particular necklace, Harry said ‘Meghan gets what Meghan wants,’ and the Queen turned around and said ‘oh, no, she doesn’t. I decide what necklace is going to be worn out of the Royal Collection.’” There seems to be more than just this regarding the reported feud between the two duchesses.
