One statement on the organization’s Twitter didn’t seem to be enough of a thank you to Harry and Meghan, so the CEO of Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, Jan Langbein, took to Twitter as well to publish her own statement. “Today, we were notified that through the actions of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nonprofit, Archewell Foundation, Prince Harry and Meghan will donate to help us get back on our feet,” She wrote.

“Not only will this gift provide for our critical needs, it shines an international spotlight on violence against women and children, letting survivors know that they are not alone,” Jan added. It’s admirable to see that Harry and Meghan truly care for such important causes as this one. Oftentimes, these organizations can be forgotten about or neglected, leading to many who are left to suffer and fend for themselves.
