A quiet town
The small town was typically very quiet. Officer Davis had been with the neighborhood police for almost 20 years, but he had not had many noteworthy cases. He spent the majority of his time on highway patrol, inspecting the moving traffic. And it was exactly here that something occurred.
Friday rush hour
Even during daily rush hours, it would typically be relatively quiet on the roads. Just not that many people were passing through the town. Only on a Friday afternoon did a large number of people who worked or attended school in the big city return home for the weekend.
