Cosplay is costume play- a performance where people dress up in costumes and makeup to play their favorite characters. We’ve compiled a list of the most amazing female cosplays out there- take a look!
Take a look at this incredible cosplay by Jessica Cruz. Those eyes are amazing! We can just imagine staring into them for quite some time. Surfingthevoid created the outfit, whose real name is Priscylla but goes by her alias on Deviant Art. The 23-year-old describes herself as a lover of comics, a film nerd, and dreamer. This Green Lantern getup was made completely by hand, and the same goes for her makeup.
We also love this costume created by @enjinight. Talk about an impressive rendition of Superwoman. If she ever begins to shoot lasers out of those peepers, we will be 100% sold. Truly, this is one woman of steel. She must be the best cosplay artist we have ever seen. You will see more of her later in this article!
What you are looking at is an award-winning costume worn at the San Diego Comic Con 2018. You will find the cosplayer under the Instagram handle @magnetomystique. It looks like your cosplay is meant for greatness if it matches your username on the social media platform. We do not know if you have already caught on to it, but the lady is wearing a lycra body suit to bring mid-transformation Mystique to life. It is exactly like the outfit Jennifer Lawrence herself wears in the movies. Before her, the character was portrayed by Rebecca Romijn Stamos.
We think cosplayer Liz Katz nailed it with this cosplay of Rogue. Her big eyes are nearly as big as her… heart. All jokes aside, she is a sensual lady who has no qualms about showing off her skin for art. Her Instagram account is @lizkatzofficial. She is so big that copycats and fan accounts exist! When you hear something like this, you know you have already made it in life. She also does modeling and can kick your butt at video games. You will find everything you need to know in her profile description!
Do you remember Queen Kida of Atlantis? We daresay that everything needs to work out just fine since there is not much to work with in terms of the costume. At any rate, there is no one better than Polish model “Merrysynth” to pull this off. She uses that alias on Instagram as well. On her account, you will see just how amazing she is at makeup. She likes to change contacts, which explains why her eyes are brown in one photo and then blue the next. You should see her model lipstick! She actually has naturally dark hair, but you would never be able to tell when she has a blonde wig on.
Veronica here brought Princess Bean to life down to a tee. She even had the buck teeth and the mug! We think that she would make a great Daenerys as well. Her cosplay Instagram account is @nika_enot. The 23-year-old Russian cosplayer posts more photos there, and we are sure you will love them. She is gorgeous, and her work is more like cinematic cosplay than anything else. She is clearly passionate about her craft. You can also check out @hikka_enot, her other account, to get to know her better.
@maweezy is a beautiful Filipino cosplayer who boasts of 30k Instagram followers. There is no denying that she looks incredible as Valkyrie. If you look her up online, you will see that she also makes an amazing Bumblee, Buzz Lightyear, and Harley Quinn. She even joined a panel discussion during the 2019 Awesome Con to talk about this topic: “Begin a Professional Cosplayer.” She was there with other cosplayers such as Lua Stardust, Mikal Mosley, and Maki Roll. They spoke about the difficulty of contract negotiation for various conventions since they are not seen as real talents but only as fillers. It takes a lot of work. On top of that, most of these people also have full-time jobs. Maweezy is actually a nurse!
Tanuki Tinka Asai is yet another talented cosplayer. In this photo, she played a gender-bent version of Hellboy. You might not see it in that image, but she got it down to his cloven hoofs. Apart from all the red paint, she added leather accessories to a jacket and created an accessory belt. She has admitted that Hellboy is the single comic character she is a fan of. However, she did dress up as other characters as well. We love her “Winter Ginger” photo series, which you will find on her Facebook page. Stunning!
Joker and Harley Quinn
My, my, my. Don’t Ryoko-Demon and Rei-Doll look drop-dead gorgeous as Lady Joker and Harley Quinn? The Russian cosplayers have been pals since 2002 and teamed up to make R&R Art Group so that they can show off their skills and love for all the characters they love. Everything was made by hand. You need to check them out on Instagram, Facebook, Patreon, and YouTube. Trust us, you will adore them!
Unique Sora is a lovely 23-year-old cosplayer who can transform into just about any character, it would seem. The list includes a genderbent Domino of Dead Pool 2. We are sure that some of you can’t believe that this is not the real thing. This is amazing, but she has also done a wonderful job at portraying Nani of Lilo and Stitch, Black Rose of .hack, and Esmeralda of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She is active on twitter under the handle @uniquesora. Trust us, this Texas native will continue to surprise us all in the future.
Russian cosplayer Christina Fink is also known as Christina Filinka Fox. Her cosplaying talents are, in our opinion, unparalleled. Take a look at her as Daenerys! One of her posts as the Mother of Dragons even got over 18,000 likes. Feel free to make that figure even higher by following her on Instagram at @kalinkafox. We also want to clue you in on how beautiful she is as Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman!
Have you ever walked up to a cute girl, had a great conversation together, and completely forget to ask her for her number? That describes what happened when this photo was taken. It is easy to assume that you will be enticed to learn more about a gorgeous cosplay model dressed as the Wasp, right? Perhaps you would have even asked the cameraperson in the background about her. However, you failed to do that. This is the there is nothing more for us to do than adore this cosplayer and wonder who she is.
Below is a gorgeous Chilean cosplayer all decked out in a Wonder Woman outfit. Yes, you are totally welcome. You will find her on both Instagram and Twitter under the handle @RocioCosplayer. She is a fashion designer, video gamer, board gamer, and a cosplay enthusiast. She is really quite the package! Apart from Wonder Woman, she has also dressed up as other video game characters like Batwoman. We want you to know that she does a great Freddy Kruger as well. Lastly, she is a Festigame Ambassador as well. Honestly, we mean it when we say that this lady is as amazing as they come.
This sexy cosplayer is actually a Coser Cosplay model. You can buy the Storm costume in this photo for yourself from the star! Of course, they have lots of options for the costume. You can choose the size and then if you want zippers or a hood. We have no idea if you will look this good, but it is not impossible.
Well, we doubt that you ever saw Dr. Strange look hotter than this. Rachel Meikle is the name of the stunning cosplayer. She is on both Deskgram and Instagram as @rachelmeiklecosplay. You will find other epic photos of the time she played Aurora and Cinderella. There was even a time when she played Spider Gwen during Colossal Con! She handmakes a lot of her outfits and gets very creative with the found object she incorporates into the outfits.
If you ever went to Leipziger Buchmesse Manga Comic Convention or LBM in 2015, you must have seen this costume. She is Jacqueline, a German cosplayer, who is also known as Jacklinn on Deviant Art. She got the Hades costume from cosplay seller Coserz, who makes outfits tailored to your measurements. A lot of cosplayers love their work! This outfit goes for $115 if you want one for yourself. Anyway, this model did her own makeup and body paint. Oh, she made the wig all by herself as well and even makes them for other people. You can see more of this talented lady on Deviant Art, Facebook, and YouTube!
We highly doubt that you have ever seen anything this epic side by side. Lola V gave Batgirl a shot, and she nailed it. Yes, she even wore the same yellow shoes that the character did. Fans asked her if they were Doc Marten’s, and she replied that they were from a cheaper brand called Doc Mitchell’s. She colored them yellow on her own. If you want to see more of her, you can go to Instagram and look up @lola_v_cosplay. From there, you can also see the personal account of the cosplayer from New Zealand.
Below is none other than @lianne507 or @lianne.cosplay. This Los Angeles native runs both of these accounts, but the real action happens on her YouTube channel. It is linked to her 2nd IG account, by the way. She posts about her cosplay projects and the incredible transformations she goes through. It goes without saying that you will learn more about this smoking cosplayer, of course! Doesn’t she look great as Mantis? Go through her social media feeds to find the other Guardians posing for photos right beside her. You can also feel free to check out her Tumblr blog, HeyLianne.
Oh, My Sophii is a cosplayer from the United Kingdom. She is no stranger to the scene and credits a pal called Cissa for kicking off her love of the craft by taking her to a con in 2009. She has not stopped since then! The costume is incredible, but you have to see her in other getups! She likes to focus on anime, comics, and video game characters. She is even hotter than hell when she is wearing leather outfits. The bad news is that she is off the market, and her husband is even her photographer. Oh well, the least we can do is to thank him for taking incredible shots of her wife. You can see more of her on @OhMySophii.
Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s, Mortal Kombat was the hottest game around. People would stand in line for hours on end to hear “Finish Him!” We bet those folks would have been willing to wait even longer if this Kitana had been there. She is a costume model for an Etsy shop. Don’t worry, a lot of the people who bought this costume gave great reviews and looked amazeballs. The store, if you wanted to know, is called “Kitana Store.” The seller custom makes each order, all the way to the wig and the silver leggings. The fans, of course, complete the look on their own.
Katharina Kastian is a German cosplayer who makes incredible costumes and original designs such as this original Iron Man/Pepper Potts costume. It is so good that they should really cast her in a new Avengers film! The suit has been made from high density (3mm – 5mm) foam and then custom painted. The result is truly amazing. Look up her name to see more of her works. If you want to support her, she runs an Etsy store from where you can run her cosplay accessories and custom outfits.
You can actually be the next owner of this Pennywise costume. It was made by Polyvore and goes for 60 bucks. The only thing you need to do is to supply the pigtails, paint, and the red balloon. After all, it won’t be Pennywise without those things! The sad truth, however, is that you will likely look less cute than this lady. We don’t think it should be possible to be both terrifying and adorable at the same time!
This cosplayer resides in Seattle, Washington. We are not sure how she did a photoshoot with all that rain, but we are not complaining at all. She goes by Amanda and originally comes from Canada. She is many things at once: dancer, traveler, gamer, dreamer, cosplayer, raver, and even a mental health awareness proponent. She can pull off a zero suit Samus as well! It should be illegal to look this hot!
We will admit that Snow White is not the hardest character to dress up as. It is maybe two out of ten with one as the easiest and ten as the most difficult. However, not everyone can look this good! The costume helps, so make sure to get igt from this Etsy store. The wig completes the look and is loved by the customers who got it. The dress is not entirely custom-made, but it is not hard to alter it.
If you thought that it was hard to dress up as the Bride from Kill Bill, you were mistaken. You can just get this outfit from the clothing store Sugarpuss. You can get the entire thing for less than $150, and the shorts are probably the best part about it. It does not come with the sword, although you can buy it separately. Anyway, this lycra banana yellow jacket is simply heavenly. This would not have been as stunning if it were not for those lovely, steely eyes. The model must have been born to play the Bride!
Sutefanii Roozu is one prolific cosplay enthusiast. Her costumes are always perfect, and she is nothing short of gorgeous in any outfit. It is a full-time gig for her, and we are glad that everything is going well. Her website shows her incredible portfolio, where she lists down 30 or so sponsor relationships. The industry is no primrose path, so it is impressive that she has made a career out of it! We bet it helps that she is drop-dead gorgeous. The Deadpool outfit below was part of a Fractured Photography photoshoot. What else can we possibly say about seeing her in a tight shiny red leather outfit?
No, she is no Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. She is simply a smoking hot cosplayer dressed up as a female Captain America. You can do this yourself if you were so inclined! It is a bodysuit outfit that only needed short shorts and white boots to finish the look. If you wanted to know, this full-body costume is sublime. A lovely cosplayer wearing a skintight outfit works even better than a couple cups of Joe. That front zipper is also quite impressive. Now, this is a true patriot!
Holy smokeballs. She could be a double for Brie Larson in the next Captain Marvel flick. She goes by OMgCosplay, and she is on Instagram under that handle. She has brought other characters to life as well. You will love her Amazing Spiderman cosplay, and we are sure that it will also blow you away. She is active on Patreon, where she offers a number of tiers to suit whatever budget you might have. This Texas native clearly knows more than most people when it comes to cosplaying!
We have no idea who in their right minds would turn down the chance to give Sailor Jupiter a lift. The cosplay was the creation of a Deviant Art user called gillykins. Go there so that you can be rewarded with images of her in the outfits that she made. If you want more eye candy, you can get your fix by checking out her Instagram account: @gilly_kins. We actually think it is cool that she posts about her life on her Instagram account. We really enjoy taking a peek into her personal life on top of her cosplay pics!
Do not be fooled by her puppy dog eyes and skintight attire. Hannah Ray is not an average cosplayer by any means since she is also a marketing genius. A famous lady in the industry, she runs a store where she sells signed prints of herself in various outfits. She uses the handle @HannahRayNinja for both IG and Twitter. She uses those sites to show off her cosplay skills and promotes her Patreon account. If you are impressed by her, you should definitely support her so that you can get access to exclusive content!
If you want to dress up as Jessica Rabbit, you will need a few essential things. For one thing, you must have good “assets” and a face that could rival that of Marilyn Monroe. Now, do not forget to put on a shiny, shimmery, or sparkly slinky red number that matches your long red locks. The last touch would be those purple gloves, which must slide over your fingers, past the elbows, to firmly grip your arms. Uh, do not mind us, we just wanted to describe her incredible outfit in great detail! Time to hit the next button.
We know that it looks just like a Daredevil cosplay, but there is more to the story than that. This outfit resembles Ann Tamaki from a hit video game called Persona 5. This was the “Panther” outfit she wore when it was time for the crew to live out their Phantom Thief missions. At any rate, you can learn more about this cosplayer by checking her out on Patreon under the handle “shiroganesama.” Just be careful since there are NSFW images over there. We would not blame you if you sign up purely for that part.
Not once would we have thought that genderbent Ant-Man was even a thing, but here you go. The truth is that most ants are female save for the soldier ants. It looks like Redditor Eternal Rose knew exactly what she was doing when she did this cosplay. Anyway, let us take a closer look at that costume of hers. The black part is made of stretch vinyl, and the red is stretch knit fabric. Those silver lines are Hobby Lobby piping, and the helmet had been a Christmas present. Sime pieces were broken when they got there, but she was able to fix them with the use of superglue. What a great first shot!
We adore the fact that these ladies have no issues playing gender-bent versions of male characters. This Black Panther cosplay is so epic that it even glows in the dark. It was made by IG user @cutiepiesensie, and it is not even her best one yet. Check out her page, but make sure to keep your jaw in check so that it would not hit the floor. She is so stunning, and every cosplay of hers is even better than the last. You can also check out her linktree, which is available on her IG. Sadly, gentlemen, she is already married.
Does the lady in the photo look familiar? Well, she should. After all, it is Laney Jade, the same cosplayer who did Aquawoman. She resides in Washington D.C. and has said, “I suppose I like to dress up.” She has admitted that she loves Batman best, which is a compliment since she cosplays a lot of characters (and makes them look good, of course). She has over 12,800 fans on Facebook and nearly 60,000 IG followers. She is a regular face on those “Best Of” cosplay lists, so it is not a shock to find her on ours.
Gamora and Nebula
Whoa, this cosplay looks like it could have come right out of an actual Avengers movie. The Gamora and Nebula outfits were made and worn by Sara Moni and Amber Skies. If you want to check out Sara online, she is @KrayolaKid on Twitter and then @saramonicosplay on IG. When you see her work, you will see that cosplay is her true passion. Meanwhile, Amber is @theamberskies on Twitter and amberskiescosplay on Facebook. For her, cosplay is more than a hobby. The two of them often team up!
Now we’re talking! Guys, this is what cosplay should be about. The lady decked out in a homegrown Cyclops getup is Camila Menezes. Cosplay has already come a long way since it started. You can now buy a costume for nearly any character you want out there. This is the reason why artists like her deserve our respect even more! Trust us, you will be impressed by what she puts up on her IG (@camenezesx).
We have already talked about Lola V earlier, but she deserves more of the spotlight. Here she is in a Kim Possible costume. Perhaps the most incredible thing about it would be the fact that she had the flat stomach down pat. If you are fit enough to do justice to Batgirl, you can also play Kim Possible. This is a simple outfit, but her physique is what makes it truly impressive. We are sure that you already know that not everyone can pull off a crop top like Lola V can.
Whoa, DidsRainfall definitely deserves full marks for this Sakura cosplay. She even got her signature stare right! The female cosplayer takes a lot of pride in her skills, as she should. She made the top by herself, and that looks like the trickiest bit of this ensemble. The white pants and pink wig complete this look. You can find her on Instagram and Facebook by looking up her name online. She hails from Spain and is definitely one of the most gorgeous cosplayers on the planet.
Lakette is not just another pretty Spiderman cosplayer. This Spanish beauty runs a YouTube channel, which she uses to showcase her cosplay skills and gives advice to others. You can access it by first going to her Instagram profile (@barraza_lakette). Go through her feed and you will surely notice that she tends to post photos of her in everyday outfits as well. Interestingly, she is actually an architect. Cool!
Unique Sora impresses us yet again by playing Lana Kane. Take a good look at these two photos, and you will notice that the only discrepancy happens to be the earrings. Cosplayers who are not afraid of side by side looks are confident that they have replicated the character down to a tee. Sora was able to make up for the small error with the rest of the getup. Those pink lips of hers are gorgeous as well!
We are sure that you want to know more about this Pink Ranger, so we will give you her name: Angela Domanico. The cosplayer goes by LadyDoombats online, but her Instagram handle is @angeldomanico instead. Are you ready to hear more about her outfit? The suit was created by Supergeek Designs, but the sewing and printing was taken care of by Zentai Zone. The helmet had been a joint effort between Pixelart Props and My Mini Factory. Make sure to follow her because she is both gorgeous and talented.
Now, it doesn’t really matter if one of Wolverine’s claws is missing, is it? If you ask us, this is still a very impressive genderbent cosplay of the famous character. The lady in question is called Rebecca, and she is from Maryland. She is on Instagram under the handle @becksters_lab. She has also done cosplays of other comic book characters such as Batgirl and Captain Marvel. We can see why she is a hit at cons!
Meow! Here is a photo of the popular female cosplayer CutiePieSensei, this time as the Black Cat. She clearly paid attention to everything from the mask to the hair to the zipper to the cleavage! The one deviation would be the choker pendant. She wore a ring, but the character has a solid one. Anyway, it does not really matter. We are sure that this photo blew everyone away when she first put it up.
Look at this incredible Harley Quinn! Karishma Cosplay from Russia has done it again. This talented lady is a @gamegirlscentral page model, and we can understand why this is the case. Make sure to follow her on IG, where she goes by @karishma_cosplay_magic. She is not one to disappoint, and her display photo alone is worth hitting that follow button. She cosplays Harley Quinn a lot, and you can get in touch with her if you want to get prints! We have nothing but respect for her hustle.
You do not have to be a video game fan to appreciate the Lara Croft cosplay @enjinight put on. Isn’t this just incredible? If you have been living under a rock, the character is the star of the Tomb Raider game franchise. She is kind of like a female Indiana Jones who can climb anywhere and has no fear of snakes!
Doesn’t Janey Lade look amazing in this genderbent Aquawoman cosplay? She has also brought other comic book characters to life. The list includes Supergirl, Miss Marvel, and Harley Quinn. You can check out her online portfolio by looking up @LaneyFeni on Facebook and Instagram. This photo was part of a shoot that was created by a photographer who goes by “Hero Hotties.” Talented cosplayers like her are put in the spotlight, and they have more to offer than a pretty face. She is also @herobodies on IG, which will let you in on what it takes to have the perfect body. All the photos come from Hero hotties, as a matter of fact. They team up so often they should think about doing Wonder Twins next!
Folks, kindly keep your middle school references all to yourself. After all, this might be the most amazing Tinker Bell the world has ever seen. If you want to check out her Instagram, her handle is @twerkingherkin; they do things their own way in Brisbane, Australia. After all, that is where this cosplayer comes from! She also puts prints of her cosplay up for sale and owns a Ko-fi account for new projects. She is currently working on her Avenger’s End Game era Black Widow costume. Can’t wait!
Jeff Zoet has made a name for himself thanks to his stunning photography. He uses his camera to capture our favorite cosplayers during cons. Here is Ginger Kutschbach, who dressed up as our favorite lean mean green machine in the photo. Most of the outfits you have seen thus far come with multiple parts, but this is not the case in this photo. She only needed a coat of paint, a white shirt, and distressed jeans. After all, she already works out like crazy! If you want to see her IG, it is @chief_squat_low. You will find over 1,500 photos of her showing off the body she achieved with all the squats Ginger does.
Whoa, the Elsa cosplay below is something else entirely. Fans did not expect anything less of Hannah Eva. You only need a quick internet search of her to find more extravagant cosplays of Cinderella, Ariel, and many other Disney princesses. What’s her Instagram handle? It is @hannaheva. No need to thank us, gentlemen. She is simply stunning and looks fantastic in just about any cosplay outfit. The model also runs a Facebook page, game codes, and a website that shows off her incredible Princess Peach cosplay. You will find all of those on her Instagram profile, so do yourselves a favor and check it out.
Alodia Almira Arraiza Gosiengfiao @alodia is a model, pianist, singer, TV presenter, cosplayer, actress, celebrity endorser, and VJ. Born and raised in the Philippines, Alodia began cosplaying at the age of 15 and participated in various Metro Manila competitions. In 2003, when she won third place at a convention dressed as Final Fantasy X-2’s Gun Mage Rikku, she gained fame and was featured on a manga magazine cover, Culture Crash Magazine. As a professional cosplayer, Alodia traveled the world with characters from Final Fantasy, Mobile Legends, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and G.I. Joe.
Linda Le, also known as Vampy Bit Me, Vampy, or Vamp @vampybitme, an American cosplayer, model, artist, and of Vietnamese descent. X-Men’s Psylocke is Vampy’s signature character, throwing on every version of the multi-psionic gun-wielding mutant. She has over 400,000 followers on Instagram, developed a cult following, and launched her own geek-chic clothing line. Vampy also recreated the Punisher, Deadpool, Nightwing, Samus Aran, Miriya Sterling from Macross, a Gundam mecha, a skinned Monster Hunter World Nargacuga, and countless more besides Psylocke.
Lyz Brickley @lyzbrickley is yet another top tier cosplayer, gamer, animator, and content creator. The hot momma is also a professional model and a YouTube personality, appearing on the LA Weekly, OC Weekly, and Scratch Magazine pages. She found herself totally and irreversibly hooked when she found a whole community of cosplayers. Since her first expo, Lyz has played many characters, including Hildegard von Krone from Soulcalibur arcade game, Mercy from Overwatch video game, Cammy White from Super Street Fighter II, and Jinx LoL from League of Legends.
Meagan Marie @meaganmarie is another genius at gender-swapping. She has some amazing female iconic character renditions, Batman’s adversary Two-Face, and Nintendo’s famous plumber. She was a hardcore gamer from a young age and began her career as an editor at the world’s largest video game magazine, Game Informer. After many years in gaming journalism, she switched careers and now works as Senior Community and Social Media Manager at Crystal Dynamics. You can go online to find Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Elektra, Witchblade, and Lara Croft, as well as Gears of War, Ciri, Aphrodite IX, and Mad Moxxi.
Every geek’s hottest dream girl is the Canadian blonde bombshell, Holly Wolf @hollytwolf. She’s a cosplayer, gaming enthusiast, artist, actress, dancer, entrepreneur, and Playboy model. She has appeared in several international magazines, including online entertainment and fashion publication FHM, Maxim, and The Next Level. Fans consider Nintendo’s definitive face and body of the intergalactic bounty hunter. Holly studied musical theater but also took classes in makeup, sewing, and set design to help her with her cosplays. The gorgeous model likes to cosplay serious characters like Samus’ gun and Zelda’s sword, where she wields weapons.
Jannet Vinogradova @jannetincosplay, a Russian cosplayer, artist, and entrepreneur, is exceptionally talented to have caught the eye of many animators with her extraordinary multi-character interpretations. Her Goku recreation from the popular Japanese anime series Dragon Ball Z is insane. Other cosplayers commissioned her to create their costumes and style their wigs. Besides the Super Saiyan, she also has other amazing cosplays, including Darth Talon, Mystique, Padme, Widowmaker, Witchblade, Elastigirl, and Grinch who stole Christmas.
The remarkably talented, beautiful Alyson Tabbitha @alysontabbitha has many skills. She appears at conventions in extraordinarily detailed recreations of well-known characters, from Lestat’s frock-coat trimmings to every blade and cut off Edward Scissorhands’ body. She also has crazy makeup skills, managing to look exactly like the character she chooses to embody, whether a man, a woman, or an outsider. Elsa, Maleficent, Nebula, Jack Sparrow, and Joker’s Heath Ledger will find her jaw-dropping transformations. See Instagram. Since she looks just like the stunning Gal Gadot, it’s the amazing makeover of Alyson into Themyscira’s princess that awes the internet.
It’s hard not to fall for Madison Kate @madi.kat, an American cosplayer, @madikat.cosplay. From Daytona Beach, Florida, this beautiful artist creates impressive yet affordable cosplays since 2014, just like her sister, Alyson Tabbitha. She has a growing number of followers on Instagram, now at 458,000; check out her mind-blowing transformations into Pokémon’s Misty, Howl’s Moving Castle’s Sophie Hatter, Kingdom Hearts’ Princess Kairi, Final Fantasy VII’s Tifa Lockhart, Final Fantasy X’s Rikku, and Final Fantasy XIII’s Serah Farron alongside her sister’s Lightning. Madison likes to do cosplays with her sibling, and she collaborated with another talented cosplayer, DeAnna Davis. Madison was invited to speak on Megacon’s 2017 cosplay panel.
One of the most inspiring and influential artists is Kay Bear Cosplay @kayyybear. She is a strong advocate of cosplay, open to everyone, regardless of gender, race, age, status, or other prejudiced norms, to express themselves freely in any character they choose. Unfortunately, some narrow-minded people criticized her for cosplaying characters outside her race. Kay received a ton of hate and negativity to portray Mavis from Hotel Transylvania. Still, kudos to Kay Bear Cosplay put those bigots in their place and continued to wow the internet.
In 2009, when her college friends invited her to attend Anime Expo, the famous cosplayer and gaming enthusiast Amie Lynn found her way into cosplay. She was big before cosplaying in Japanese pop culture, anime, video games, and various fandoms. Although she came up with her handle @misshabit as her Gamertag when she was obsessed with Metal Gear Online, Amie Lynn admits she’s not too happy to use it on social media. However, she decided to keep the name because it sounds true to everything she’s passionate about, like cosplay, video games, and anime, forming a habit.
Ani-Mia @animiaofficial started as a model in 2001 and joined the cosplay world in 2008. She is renowned for her thoughtful and creative approach to co-playing, committing herself to the appearance of the characters she chooses to portray and their personalities. She cosplayed as Supergirl while still leaving her comfort zone to help her overcome her shyness. Now known worldwide, traveling as a professional cosplayer to different countries and judging international competitions, she enjoys meeting people who share the same passion and costumes.
With her provocative portrayals of characters from video games, like 2B from the hack and slash video game Nier: Automata, Ann Takamaki from Persona 5, and Meme Chan from Nihon Animator Mihonichi’s ME!, the shapely Anya Braddock @anya.braddock has gained Instagram fame. Unfortunately, some individuals try to discredit her, like a few other female cosplayers, because she mostly does sensual cosplay, and she tends to flaunt her ample back overly.
One of South Korea’s most popular cosplayers and pop stars is Kang Yun Jin, better known as Aza Miyuko @aza_miyuko. She started cosplaying as part of Spiral Cats in 2011 but left in 2013 and now leads a cosplay team called Acrown. In her costumes, she incorporates what she learned as a fashion design student, using her expertise and creativity to design and make her cosplays. Aza is known for portraying anime characters like Makoto Tachibana, Mikazuki Munechika, Saeko Busujima, and male and female Sailor Mercury. Fans love her because she happily interacts with them during video game shows like Tokyo Game Show.
Crystal Graziano @crystalgrazianocosplay has shown incredible creativity and versatility in the cosplay realm. She has the most stunning recreations of many characters from Marvel, DC, and gaming. See her portrayals of Miss Marvel, Power Girl, Black Cat, Samus Aran, Asuka, and Sniper Wolf on social media. She and her husband, Todd Graziano, began cosplaying in 2005. When she became Firefall’s first spokeswoman, a massive online multiplayer shooter video game developed by Red 5 Studios, her cosplay career was established but unfortunately shut down in 2017.
A seasoned Taipei cosplayer, Taiwan, is Ely Cosplay @eeelyeee. She is known for her attention to detail, clearly shown in complex and elaborate costumes. Within East Asia’s cosplay community, Ely has gained fame and continues to amaze her fans with her accurate representations of Evangelion’s Asuka, Touhou’s Sakuya, and Japanese destroyer Yuudachi’s Kantai Collection. Not only does Ely have more than seven hundred thousand Instagram followers, but she is also recognized as one of 23-year-richest old’s and youngest cosplayers with an estimated net worth of $1.5 million.
