Darren Young, the WWE superstar, dropped a bomb when he said he was gay in an interview with TMZ in 2013. Young also added that he and Nick Villa had been in a committed relationship for two years. Young later told Ellen DeGeneres his reason for coming out: “I wanted to be able to bring my boyfriend to WWE events.”

Michael Sam and Vito Cammisano
When Michael Sam got drafted to the St. Louis Rams of the NFL, he became really emotional (makes sense; it’s the NFL after all). The draft was actually broadcast live on TV and Sam gave his boyfriend, Vito Cammisano, a kiss. Sam and Cammisano (both University of Missouri alums) had been dating for several months when they made the announcement in January 2015 that they were engaged. However, in June of that same year, the two ended their engagement as well as their relationship.
