For people like us, we would be more than happy to live in a $2.2 million home like this one. However, journalist Jane Pauley and her partner must have thought it was a downgrade. They used to live in a $13 million house near Central Park West, though it was much too large for two people. At least this 3-bedroom 3-bathroom one is smaller and less of a hassle to maintain. It has a great view of the skyline too!

Clearly, buying a lake house wouldn’t cut it for multi-billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, so he bought an entire compound. He recently bought two side-by-side mansions on Lake Tahoe, spending a total of $59 million. The two properties total about 10 acres and have a total of 15 bedrooms. Not to mention numerous piers to house multiple boats. The smaller mansion, Carousel Estate, was built back in the early 1930s. The other house, Brushwood Estate, was built in the 1960s and has two adjoining guesthouses. The mansions have a rustic farmhouse style and views that are worth every penny. To top it off, there is a good deal of privacy in the estate since it’s surrounded with plenty of lush foliage.
