A&W

A&W got its claim to fame from their popular draft root beer and root beer floats. Little do most people know, they’ve been around since 1919, and they’re also known for their burgers! Root beer is by far their best-seller, the food itself and the customer service the main reasons for complaints.

Diners often complain about the fries, overly oily, greasy and downright gross. One customer said eating A&W’s fries is like ingesting a cup of oil. They are also known for their dirty restaurants and lack of timeliness. People have said that the tables are always covered in grease and covered in trash, while the trash cans are spilling over with yesterdays garbage.

Auntie Anne’s

Auntie Anne’s is known for their delicious sweets, the drool-worthy salted and cinnamon pretzels their best-seller. The first-ever Auntie Anne’s branch was opened back in 1988 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and they’ve been going strong ever since! Although, our beloved pretzel provider has seen a decrease in sales as of late, the main reason being their location. Most Auntie Anne’s are located in malls, and with the rise of Amazon, malls today are less popular than ever.

The chain decided to face the problem head-on and opened stores in more populated places. But despite the new openings in outdoor shopping centers and tourist spots, it turns out location isn’t Auntie Anne’s biggest problem. Diners aren’t happy with the unwelcoming staff and the burnt and often stale pretzels.
