Katie eventually came to the conclusion that she had been right all along. During the conversation, the birth mother gave her some bits of information that aligned with her theory. For one, she mentioned giving birth to a son and then giving him up without records. The woman also looked a lot like Katie’s adopted son! She did not doubt her suspicions anymore.

In fact, she just welcomed another boy into the world but did not report his birth to the authorities. Katie let the social worker know about these things after the meeting. They later found out that the last name the birth mother used was the last name of their other relatives.
