Katie started to get cases soon after she sent in the application form. The foster children she received were more than just children with no parents, but they were also children who went through a lot when they were little. After learning this, she wanted to help them out even more.

The year after this happened, she ended up fostering four kids. She began to consider if it was time for her to adopt a child. Even though she liked becoming a foster parent, she wanted to make parenthood a permanent fixture in her life. From fostering children, Katie now wanted to adopt a child.
