Richard D’Alessandro as Abbie Hoffman
Even though Richard D’Alessandro only had a few scenes with Abbie Hoffman in the movie, he absolutely captivated the audience with his performance as the character. During a scene that is crucial to the plot, Hoffman introduces Forrest to a large crowd that is demonstrating against the involvement of the United States in the Vietnam War outside of the White House. Forrest makes a comment on how much Hoffman enjoys the use of colorful words.
The audience unexpectedly warms up to Forrest, and Hoffman clearly played a role in that. Despite some technical challenges with the sound system, the audience warms up to Forrest.
Richard D’Alessandro – Now
There is little question that the film Forrest Gump was a watershed moment in Richard D’Alessandro’s career. Since that time, this skilled actor has appeared in a variety of well-known shows, some of which include The Sopranos, As the World Turns, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, to name just a few. Recent events have seen him provide a memorable performance in the critically praised television series The Deuce, in which he co-starred with James Franco.
D’Alessandro has been married three times in his lifetime, and the third and most recent of these marriages ended in 2016. Christine was the spouse with whom he was most recently married.
