Billie Jean King
Billie Jean King is the sports legend who became famous after winning the tennis match against Bobby Riggs in 1973, which became known as “The Battle of the Sexes”, an event so important that a film was made about it starring Emma Stone as Billie. Billie was an avid advocate for gender equality, getting big companies to sponsor female sports. In 1987 she was introduced to the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and was also the first prominent athlete to come out as gay in 1981.
Ann-Margret
Ann Margret had her big break with the role of Kim Mcafee in Bye Bye Birdie in 1963, when she was just 22 years old, after which things really took off for her. Kim is still active in Hollywood today with her latest roles in 2017 with Morgan Freeman in Going in Style, and in Papa in 2018. Ann has also been nominated for a Grammy for her music career.
