Kim Basinger
Kim Basinger started out as a model, offered a contract on the spot by Ford Models, and became a top model during the 1970’s – by the time she was 20 she was earning $1000 a day! In 1976 Kim decided to take on Hollywood and began appearing in series like Charlie’s Angels, and landed the role of the Bond Girl in Never Say Never Again (1983). In 1997, Kim earned herself an Oscar for her performance in L.A. Confidential, the film noir classic. Kim is still acting today, and we look forward to hearing what is next for her!
Nancy Kerrigan
To follow in Tonya’s lauded footsteps we have Nancy Kerrigan, another phenomenally talented skater. Sadly, Kerrigan’s career would be steeped with misfortune. As previously discussed, in 1994 she suffered a debilitating injury at the hands of a clumsy athlete. This would not stop her from winning, however, as she speedily made it back to the arena. Little over a month following her accident, Kerrigan triumphantly returned to the podium during the 1994 Winter Olympics to claim her silver medal.
Following the conclusion of her career, Kerrigan stayed with the Olympics as a correspondent. While you might not see much of the champion today, she has made the occasional televised appearance, such as her time with “Dancing with the Stars.”
