A Warm Bed
Mallory thought of an idea on how to keep the fox warm. She thought that they should make a nest for it. The other two could only see sawdust in their boat and used it to keep the little critter warm. They gathered the sawdust and made a warm bed for the fox, which actually worked well in insulating heat.

They placed the sawdust in a plastic bin where they planned to keep the fox for its warmth and security. The fox immediately buried itself in the wood flakes. They also found the sunniest spot on their boat to place it. They were hoping that the fox would stay warm and wait until they would reach the shore to find some help.
