Once they had all gathered, they went through the list of things that they needed to do. This list was created to make sure they were safe during their fishing trip and to ensure that their emergency tools were ready if they needed them.

If they forgot to prepare or do one thing on the list, it could mean longer hours at work as they would have to go back to the dock to fetch whatever was left behind. They didn’t want that to happen, so they worked hard to make sure that they got everything on their checklist before they started their work out in the sea.
