This just goes to show that while Sheila had a sad story, it was not unusual. Animals continue to be exploited and receive poor care at the hands of their human caretakers. After she was rescued, people hoped that she would soon feel better.

After Sheila was rescued, the Department of Agriculture made the call to take her to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Centre. The animal welfare organization show how badly she was doing. It aims to guide stranded animals into recovery, but things did not look good for the poor lioness. The group said that if her health did not improve soon, she might have to be euthanized and poot down!
