Digging Deep
The Kola Desert, located on Russia’s Kola Peninsula, is a sparsely populated region known as the Kola Desert. The objective was straightforward and straightforward. It was just their desire to bury themselves as deeply as they possibly could into the earth’s crust.
What Their Goal Is
The Soviets also intended to be able to drill down as far as 49,000 feet below the Earth’s surface. With the assistance of specialized equipment, they began digging a series of boreholes that forked off from a single depression in the ground.
