Jusuf Nurkic (2014-2020)

If Nurkic had not suffered the awful injury that held him out of the playoffs, the Portland Trail Blazers might have truly fought the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. After the superb backcourt of Lillard and McCollum, Nurkic is easily Portland’s finest player, since he can score the ball inside with his strength and talent while still being a solid rim protector. While Nurkic is out, the squad will at least have Hassan Whiteside, who can start.

DeAndre Ayton (2018-2020)

Because Ayton is on the awful Phoenix Suns and the 2018 rookie class is fantastic, the NBA Draft 2018 number one pick has not earned enough respect because the Bahamian big man has so much potential in this league. While he is a capable rebounder, his post and mid-range skills are among the finest in the league. So, if he works on his defense, which I’m sure he will given he’s only been in the NBA for one season, he’ll be a superstar.
