Bill Cartwright (1980-1995)
Cartwright, who was born in California, was selected by the New York Knicks in the 1979 NBA Draft. He spent the first part of his career with the Knicks before going on to the Chicago Bulls and a single season with the Seattle Supersonics. Cartwright was electrifying at the start of his career. As a rookie in 1979, he made the All-Star game after averaging 21.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. During his 15-year career, Cartwright won three NBA championships.
