Tourists Amounts Decreased
Unfortunately, the number of tourists decreased as a result of the drying of the American Falls. By the end of 1969, the number of tourists who came to see the rocks was lower than the number of previous years when the Falls were at their fullest.
There Were Less People
In any case, the visitors who did come to Niagara Falls during the summer of 1969 were presented with a unique opportunity to take something away from the site and bring it back home with them. Some people collected rocks from the riverbed, while others were fortunate enough to find coins in the riverbed.
