As young adults, Kay and Phil Robertson opted to stay in Louisiana, the state where they grew up in. This proved to be a great choice as it was the site of their duck hunting empire. Their children and eventual grandchildren also got to call the Pelican State their home. We bet they did not expect their success!

When did the beard craze start? Well, Phil began to grow out his when the kids were all in their teen years. When the boys graduated from high school, they decided to follow in their father’s footsteps and grow beards of their own.
