UN Buffer Zone, Cyprus
This demilitarized zone was formed initially in 1964 and, after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, became known colloquially as the ‘green line. ‘It was constructed in 1974. Like the old Berlin Wall, it broke up the island and protected Non-Peacekeeper troops may not guarantee any unauthorized crossings.

The Holiest place in Islam is one of the world’s architectural wonders and one of Earth’s most spectacular locations. However, access to the Temple Mount is highly limited, as non-Muslims “can’t pray, bring prayer books, or wear religious clothes on Temple Mount.”
