Snake Island – Brazil
Ilha da Queimada Grande, 25 miles off Brazil’s coast, is aptly named Snake Island. The Brazilian authorities found it impossible to travel as the island had so many poisonous snakes. In reality, the snake population is between 2,000 and 4,000, and it is calculated that there may be one snake per island square foot. The golden lancehead, a pit viper type, will kill a human with only one bite unless immediately treated.

The document was just one of the thousands in the Vatican Archives, a message from the French philosopher Voltaire. The public is unable to display their impressive collection, but scholars have had study Latin in Rome. Even the documents have been digitalized because they are handwritten, and machines can not scan them. Nevertheless, the conspiracy theorists have tried for years to figure out what is in their vaults because the Catholic Church is too discreet.
