No one can even fathom letting their kids walk a couple of blocks without parental supervision! It wasn’t like that before.

At any rate, it is cool to remember that these were the same people associated with anti-war protests, Woodstock, and other cultural developments of the decade. San Francisco was a huge hub for the free love movement, and the influence persists to this day.
