Seeing as the American flag is used as a symbol for the entire American nation, it should get the respect it deserves. Soldiers stand right away and even sometimes salute when they see the flag is raised. Needless to say, there won’t be any knee-droppers here.

You might think that having your back towards the wall means you don’t have anywhere else to go, but it actually means that you are safe. You don’t need to mind what’s behind you. You only have to watch out for threats from the front. This is why soldiers often go for a seat that has a wall behind it even in civilian life.
