Too Much
Even though there were still those who supported Nadya, the media attention and exposure eventually became too much for her. Her original goal of taking control of the story seemed too far away, so she decided to take a risk and talk about her problems. She responded to the caricatures about her in an interview with People magazine. “I don’t get much sleep, about two or three hours a night. But I’m continuing to move forward with my life and trying to be the best mother I can be,” she commented, though her attitude towards the attention she received made people still skeptical about her.
A Grim Situation
Even though many in America adored the Suleman family, Nadya’s critics continued to share their skeptical remarks. They did not back down even though years had passed since she had given birth. Unfortunately, this began to impact her ability to raise the children, and there were even reports of her dire circumstances. Nadya may have been at a low point in her life because she still felt alone despite having 14 children. She accepted welfare because she was struggling to raise her 14 children, but she had no idea that she would face another challenge that even government assistance would not be able to overcome.
