Raw Veggies
Nadya posted this photo to her Instagram account with the caption, “Could we be any more vegan?” Her six older children are not vegan, but her eight younger children enjoy eating raw greens, so they keep golden or red beets, organic kale, bell peppers, and chard on hand, and they frequently drink health shakes in addition to eating home-cooked meals with quinoa and sprouted lentils. They eat a fairly consistent diet, and their desserts, such as the green apple with raw almond butter that they usually have, are vegan. Adopting a vegan lifestyle was not difficult for Nadya because she grew up as an ethical vegetarian, and it helped her recover from the various physical conditions caused by multiple pregnancies and deliveries.

It’s not easy to get Nadya and her 14 children to pose for a family photo, so any time the family is all in one place is a great opportunity to capture them smiling and laughing. Nadya captioned this photo on Instagram, saying: “So THIS is what happened when we attempted to take a fun family photo with as many family members as possible. Per usual, Elijah, Amerah, and JJ are absent from the pic.” Nadya can now easily share special moments like these thanks to social media. Her most interesting posts, in fact, are those in which we can get a glimpse of her life as a single mother raising 14 children on her own.
