An Extreme Decision
What Nadya Suleman decided to do in 2008 shocked the world, and she became an instant celebrity. She returned to Dr. Michael Kamrava, the same doctor who had performed her previous IVF procedures because she was not satisfied with just six children. Nadya informed him that she wanted another IVF cycle with all six of her remaining eggs implanted. She made the decision to do so because she is pro-life and did not want her eggs to go to waste.
More Babies?
Dr. Kamrava was initially hesitant to agree to implant six eggs at once, fearing that the mother would be put in grave danger. He claims, however, that he implanted the six remaining eggs at Nadya’s request, which she did even though she knew she could be pregnant with multiple babies. Nonetheless, the fact that Dr. Kamrava implanted twelve eggs is the most intriguing aspect of the whole thing! Actually, that number is far higher than the recommended amount, and such a large risk was bound to have a significant impact.
