Brandon Roy’s career was derailed by a succession of knee injuries, although many experts believed he was on the verge of being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Because his knee did not heal properly, he was forced to retire at a young age. He tried to join the broadcasting business, but it was not a good fit for him. Instead, he took the position of head basketball coach at Nathan High School. During his debut year, the team was unbeaten, finishing 29-0. It’s easy to see why he was awarded Naismith High School Basketball Coach of the Year! He started his stint as head basketball coach at Garfield High School in 2017.
