Martijn and Marion remained in contact after the discovery of the camera’s original owner’s granddaughter. Martijn, however, believed that after such an emotional journey, it would be preferable to hand over the photographs and camera in person to the descendant of their original owner.

Martin then flew to Canada to present the photographs of Marion’s grandparents to Marion and her family in the United States. When he arrived at the spot to finish the assignment, she was overjoyed.
