It was Spiranac’s experience that men asked her out and then suggested she go to a driving range to practice. Initially, it appeared to be a casual date suggestion, but it soon evolved into her giving the ‘date’ an hour-long free lesson to help him improve his game.

A happy ending has put an end to the bad dates she had previously, but she still thinks back fondly on some of her less-than-pleasant experiences with men. ‘There was a second guy who did the same thing, he also wanted golf lessons, and he would text me like every day, he was charming and flirty with me.'”
