Sandra felt the notion that there was more that she ought to be doing after Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005. The disaster was caused by the hurricane. She stated that she had a gut feeling that her child was in New Orleans, and as a result, she started exploring the possibility of adopting a child from that city. She claimed that she had a sense that her child was there.
