To figure out where Kaydon might have gone while playing outside, the rescuers tried to think like a child. This only encouraged them to think creatively. They even went to places and looked in places they would not have looked otherwise. They checked the woods as well as the abandoned buildings. They didn’t realize it at the time, but they were getting closer.
