Bob Dylan is one of the most popular and culturally significant folk musicians. He composed “The Times They Are a-Changin'” and “Blowin’ In the Wind” and released his eponymous album in the early 1960s, and preceded with a string of hit records. He released many politically charged singles and albums. He was also one of the first rock musicians to widely popularize electrically amplified instruments, eventually leaving a trail of controversy in his wake. He managed to have over 100 million album sales and won the National Medal of Arts in 2012 and the Nobel Prize of Literature in 2016.
