Nicky Boone was the made-up child of Coach Boone and Carol Boone, who was also named Boone and was Coach Boone’s wife. In point of fact, Herman Boone and his wife were the parents of two daughters called Sharon Henderson and Monica Merritt, who both outlived their parents. Both of these young women were named after Herman Boone’s daughters. Donna Dulany, the couple’s other daughter, moved out in the year 2014 after the couple got divorced.
