Throughout the course of the movie, Gregory Alan Williams delivered a performance playing the role of this character. The role of LAPD officer Garner Ellerbee, which Williams played on the television series Baywatch, is probably the one that has brought him the most fame.

Ryan Hurst as Gerry Bertier
The film did an excellent job of depicting both the horrific occurrence that left Gerry Bertier disabled and the automobile accident that resulted in his untimely death. Both of these incidents were portrayed in the film. However, Bertier’s real-life accomplishments as a great football player and later as a Paralympic gold winner were not given any screen time in the film. Bertier actually won the gold medal in both of these tournaments.
