An Important Message
When the delivery was done, everyone went back to their own lives. Allen went home to recover from the pregnancy and together with her husband, she purchased a new home. One month later, they were about to move in when Allen got a text from the intended mother. It was a picture of the twins and a message of doubt. When Allen talked to the New York Post, she explained that the intended mother asked her, “Have you thought about why they are different?” and “They are not the same, right?”
Very Rare But Not Impossible
In the following week, they had the babies undergo a DNA test and received astounding results. Apparently, the babies were not actually twins. One of them was the biological child of Allen and her spouse! The embryos also had different gestational ages. This was a medical phenomenon called superfetation, a process in which a pregnant woman continues to ovulate. That’s right – Allen conceived another baby while the implanted embryo was already inside of her! They did not expect this development, to say the least.
