At the age of 19, he became the King of Navarre, and then two months later, he got married. The Good King is said to have managed to survive a total of 12 assassinations attempts while he was alive. Researchers chose to recreate him because of his religious tolerance. The team behind this project is the same team that worked on Robespierre – facial reconstruction specialist Philippe Froesch and forensic pathologist Philippe Charlier. Sadly, The Good King did not manage to survive the 13th assassination attempt. In 1610, a Catholic man stabbed him with a dagger.
